The daughter of Stanley Willard Henson, Jr, a physician as well as Thelma Burnell Henson, Michele Carey whose birth name is Michele Lee Henson was born on February 26, 1942, in Annapolis, Maryland in the United States of America. She had a prodigious piano playing as a teenager and she took home the national prize at the Chicago Music Festival at just thirteen years old. Fort Collins High School is the place where she received her high school certificate in 1960. In order to improve the chances of her profession, she moved into Los Angeles.
